Final Thoughts

Price

At the time of writing, we do not have a confirmed price for the ID-Cooling Auraflow X 360 cooler. We have, however, been informed that the price will be in the region of £90-£100 (TBC). If this price is correct (and based on ID-Coolings price structure, we do not see why it would be too far removed from this) the Auraflow X 360 represents excellent value.

When you consider the temperature control performance of this cooler, specifically how it beat many much more expensive models, this is a great bit of performance for the price tag.

Design and Ease Of Use

In terms of the overall design, it’s hard to fault the ID-Cooling Auraflow X 360. In fairness, the design isn’t that far removed from those we have seen from ID-Cooling in the past (at least on the surface) and that isn’t a criticism either. Their coolers have a no-nonsense style of design which has always given us the confidence that they are built to do a job and do it well.

If we were to have a criticism, it’s about the RGB lighting. Ironically, however, not for a reason you might be thinking. While the RGB effects are nice (and can be synced or turned off completely if you wish) they’re a little understated. I know that some people hate RGB with a passion and going understated here might win ID-Cooling some fans. Personally, however, I think they could (and probably should) have kicked it up a notch.

On a more positive note, the installation method ID-Cooling has is nice and straight forward and, as such, despite a 360 AIO cooler perhaps being intimidating to a new PC builder, this design makes the process as easy and painless as possible.

Overview

As we said at the beginning of the review, ID-Cooling is a brand that deserves far more attention than it gets. Admittedly, they are associated with being ‘cheap’ and often (by this association) get incorrectly assumed to be bad. That, however, is very far removed from the reality. We prefer to think of their products as being excellently priced based on the performance. In this regard, the Auraflow X 360 is certainly no exception.

Its performance as a CPU cooler is entirely unquestionable. It is fantastic at doing the job it was designed for. Additionally, the understated RGB effects add that little bit of icing to the performance cake. If the fan noise levels were a little quieter we could’ve made a strong argument for it being the best 360 cooler (we’ve seen) currently on the market. At the very least, however, based on price, if this isn’t the best, it’s certainly the best value.

Pros

  • Amazingly impressive performance.
  • Excellent value for money.
  • Strong design aesthetics.
  • RGB Sync compatible.
  • Easy to install.

Cons

  • Gets a little noisy when having to work hard.

Neutral

  • RGB effects could’ve gotten away with being a little brighter.
  • RGB cabling will require some strong management.
