ID-Cooling Releasing Surprisingly Affordable FrostFlow+ Series AIO Coolers
Ron Perillo / 3 years ago
Cooling solution manufacturer ID-Cooling has updated their FrostFlow AIO series with the new “plus” models. These provide good performance at a much lower price than their competitors. Low price does not have to mean less value, as the FrostFlow+ upgrades several aspects of the previous sereries. For starters, the pump block is now a lot more elegant looking. It has a simple “C” backlit LED design on the face with the ID-Cooling logo. The contact base is pure copper with micro-fins for fast and efficient heat transfer. Even the tubing is positioned on the side to maintain the elegant pump block appearance. These tubing is sleeved to compliment the clean look. However, it is also durable and resistant to kinks and bends.
The ID-Cooling FrostFlow+ is compatible with Intel LGA115x and LGA2011, as well as older LGA775 and LGA1366 sockets. Since the new LGA2066 HEDT has the same distance as the LGA2011 sockets, it should also be compatible. In terms of AMD sockets, previous FM2/FM3/AM3 sockets are supported as well as the new wider AM4 socket.
The fan bundled has eleven white blades on a rounded frame. The mounting holes are standard 120mm but are rubber dampened to eliminate vibration. It uses a 4-pin PWM connector, smart-controllable from 700 to 1800 RPM. At its peak performance, this fan generates 2.15mmH2O of static pressure at 35.2dB(A).
Pricing and Availability
The ID-Cooling FrostFlow+ series starts at $60 USD for the 120mm version. The larger 240mm radiator size version costs $15 more at $75 USD. At the top is the 280mm version for only $85 USD, which is surprisingly lower than most AIOs in the market. In terms of release date, shipment will start on August 1st to the distributors.
