Performance

Colour reproduction is on point here, and while it’s not uncommon to find good quality panels that can hit 100% of sRGB these days, it’s still nice when they do. The colours look great, and with the comprehensive OSD, you can fine-tune the colours to suit your taste.

The tone response is excellent, ever so slightly off Gamma 2.2, but frankly, my humble human eyes couldn’t see that, it looks great. There are multiple Gamma settings on this monitor too, so if you did feel the need, you can set it lower or higher.

Anything over 5.0 Delta-E is typically easy to see with your own eyes. Anything under 2 is regarded as really good though, and under 2 is frankly excellent. AS you can see, most of this monitor is around 1 or below, making it exceptionally good. Yes, the blue is strong, but that’s not uncommon, and simply turning on the warm colour profile nets the best results in my opinion, or you can leave the default image on if you like, however, I don’t recommend the cool profile, as the default is already a little frosty.

The 165 Hz refresh rate, 0.5ms response time, and FreeSync Premium all come together on this monitor to create a truly awesome gaming experience. Sure, 2560 x 1440 may have its limitations compared to 4K, but at 165 Hz, you’re getting so much more information per second that you see more detail than you ever would on a 60 Hz monitor. There’s no blur in fast-moving scenes and you’ll be pushing your K/D ratio up in no time.

1440 is still a decent resolution though, and it’s well suited to this panel size. I can comfortably edit videos and photos on here. Sure, I’d rather have my 4K monitor, but it’s easy to see why this resolution is so popular.

The pixel density is decent, I can comfortably put two windows side by side and everything is perfectly readable.

The colour accuracy is great though, so it doesn’t matter if you’re gaming, photo editing, or just kicking back and watching a movie, everything looks really good. The contrast is good, the brightness is strong, and the motion is really clean overall.
