Innergie mCube Slim Power Adapter Review

Test Setup & Results
Test Setup

To set the mCube Slim up, it’s a matter of connecting the AC and DC cables into their designated ports on the main block. Once you have done this, you will need to identify the correct tip for your device, the manual can aid on this processor, or by searching on the Innergie website: http://www.myinnergie.com/Compatibility/CheckTip.aspx?PID=9

Once you have correctly identified which tip is needed for your product, you can insert it onto the end of the DC cable. You will find that attaching the tip will be quite a stiff process, but don’t complain, as this will help in making sure the tip stays in place and isn’t lost, though if the tip(s) is lost, Innergie can supply new ones free of charge, provided that you pay the shipping costs.

The main block also has a USB cable connector which is handy for me as i have an iPhone. This will give me the facility to connect my iPhone data cable into the USB connector and charge my phone from the power adapter. Sadly that is as far as Apple users will be able to take things as their laptops are designed using a MagSafe connector which is patented to Apple and therefore no third parties are allowed to use it.

Once your product of choice (Acer Aspire 5633WLMI) has the correct tip connected and the voltage switch set to its desired setting, you can continue to plug it into your device.

Once connected and switched on, you will notice the power indicator light on the main unit lighting up either blue or green, dependent on the voltage selected. This gives you indication that the device is in use and functioning correctly.

There isn’t a great deal of tests that can be done with a product of this nature, other than to comment on how well it worked or any faults that were thrown into the mix.

We are glad to say that the product worked flawlessly as expected, without any hiccups throughout usage with the Acer Aspire 5633WLMI and Apple iPhone. We managed to correctly identify the included tip for use with our device and setup and connectivity was self-explanatory.
