Intel has just unveiled a fresh wave of Haswell Core Series processors for the desktop LGA 115X platform and now it is doing the same for its mobile Haswell platform. TechPowerUp reports that Intel have made official four new mobile Core i7s, five new mobile Core i5s and a trio of mobile Celerons. In the most part these are dual core core parts with the Celeron models lacking hyper threading and some extra cache, the Core i5 models have hyperthreading but sport less cache and lower clock speeds than the Core i7 models.
One glaring omission from these latest Haswell mobile releases are the Haswell mobile Core i3 processors which cover the $140-210 price point. These appear to be delayed so entry level notebook buyers will end up having to buy Ivy Bridge Core i3 based notebooks, buy more expensive Core i5 options or more affordable Celeron and Pentium options.
