CINEBENCH is a real-world cross platform test suite that evaluates your computer’s performance capabilities. We can see the Celeron 847 with its two cores and two threads at 1.1GHz easily outperforms the old Atom D525 dual core four thread 1.8GHz processor. The performance is still a bit mediocre for a desktop replacement in my opinion and we can see Gigabyte’s BRIX with a Core i5 is almost four times as fast. That said the performance is admirable all things considered but I can see the value in the Core i3/i5/i7 models over the cheaper Pentium and Celeron variants.
