As part of its extreme series range Intel has released the DX79SI motherboard to support upcoming LGA 2011 processors. Expansion includes Three PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots, Two PCI Express x1 slots and One PCI slot. 64GB of quad channel memory is supported up to 2400MHz and there is support for CrossfireX and SLI multi GPU configurations.
Four USB 3.0 ports are included with an equal split between the front panel headers and the rear IO, the SATA II/III configuration is 4/2. There is dual LAN ports provided by an Intel controller along with Intel 10 channel audio and S/PDIF support.
