Kingston HyperX Genesis 2133MHz Memory Kit Review

Overclocking
Whenever we start to overclock memory, we first make sure that the memory is able to run at its stock settings and to rule out any errors with the memory and to make sure they are not part of a “bad batch”.

Once we have performed our normal checks we were able to enter the BIOS and increase the memory clock speed. We were able to increase the memory from the stock speed of 2133MHz to 2240MHz. We made sure that our timings and voltage remained using the stock settings, though an increase in voltage or slacker timings could give a higher increase in memory speed frequency.

By changing the timings for slacker ones or increasing the voltage, we found that the performance was actually hindered, thus having the best results at 2240MHz with the stock voltage and timings.
