Test system:
Card Reader
Software
I will be testing the memory cards with my new Lexar Professional Workflow drive hub and card readers, initially empty as I receive them and then fill them with 25%, 50%, and 75% data in order to see how they keep up the performance when they start to get full with data.
I will be using a wide variety of benchmark programs to test both the sequential performance and access times. I’ve purposely left out the random performance tests as they’ll be both slow and irrelevant on this type of storage, but also because the tests can damage the drives severely. They are simply not built nor intended for that kind of usage.
On the following pages, I have included the benchmark screenshots from all fillage tests as well charts with a drive analysis of the results over the different fillage levels.
