Lian Li 011 Dynamic Der8auer PC Case Review

Complete System

Fitting a test system inside the 011 Dynamic case was an easy enough job. This case is bloody massive and our ATX system takes up about half the space. Wait a moment, I forgot to turn my power on…

AH, that’s much better. One thing I love about this case is that it doesn’t come with ANY RGB lighting as standard. In fact, it doesn’t even come with any fans what so ever either. This means you can really make it your own. If you’re fitting custom loop, or your own custom fans even, you don’t have to throw away the stock ones you didn’t want anyway. This keeps the cost and the waste down, which is a good thing I think.

Graphics Cards

Any modern GPU should fit here with ease. The chassis is plenty long, so the length is certainly not an issue. Plus there’s enough width here to deal with wider cards, and any side fittings for water blocks too. Using the bottom GPU mount would limit your use of the bottom fan mounts, but you can plan that accordingly.

CPU Cooler

One thing that did shock me was that the CPU cooler clearance for air coolers isn’t great. The Phanteks one here isn’t particularly massive, but I’ll let you in on a secret; it touches the side panel glass in later pictures… shocker.

Top

I get it though, this case really is tuned for radiators more than anything. With that in mind, you can fit a hell of a lot in the top of the case.

My fist barely takes up 2/3 of the space. Fitting a thicker radiator with push and pull fans should not be an issue here, that’s for sure.

Cables

The cable routing is pretty decent throughout. There are lots of cable routing grommets and cutouts where you need them. Of course, the GPU cable does need to travel a bit, as the PSU is in the back not below the GPU.

Final Build

With all the panels back in place, it really does look drop dead gorgeous. The RGB on any components shines through that clear glass beautifully. Again, it’s perfectly designed for those who want to show off their hardware. If you put a sloppy build in this, it’s going to look pretty shocking.
