Lian Li DK01X and DK02X Desk Chassis Now Available

While I’m sure many of you are familiar with the desk chassis designs from Red Harbinger, they’re not the only ones out there who can create an impressive PC-in-desk style chassis product and if anyone can do it better, it’s Lian Li. Today sees the release of now one, but two new desk chassis products as Lian Li unleash their single system ready DK-01X and the dual system ready DK-02X. Both of the chassis are crafted from aluminium, although we wouldn’t have expected any other choice of material from the legendary Lian Li, topped off with a huge slab of tempered glass.

The DK-01X and DK-02X front panel features a locking door which can slide out, allowing you easy access to the internal components of your system, which should make installations, upgrades and maintenance a lot easier. The front panel also forms an adjustable and removable keyboard tray, their is even a side mounted pocket with headphone rack to help you store your mouse and other peripherals.

The DK-01X will handle up to an HPTX motherboard, with the DK-02X will handle both HPTX and a mini-ITX simultaneously. Both are air and water cooling compatible, with room in either chassis for 360mm radiators on the side, while the DK01 has room for another 360mm radiator in the front and the DK02 has room for two more 240mm mounts.

The DK01 features 10 removable hard drive bays, and the DK012 will house 8 hard drive bays for the smaller system and another 9 HDD bays for the larger system, but all the storage is flexible, removable and you can configure until you have something you’re happy with.

Comfort for Your Viewing Pleasure

Both desk chassis have a height of 805mm (31.7″), but can be raised to 835mm (32.9″) to provide more leg room. On the back, up to 3 monitor mounts can be installed for multiple display setups.

Hardware Compatibility

CPU coolers up to 180mm (7″) in height and power supplies up to 280mm (11″) in length are supported. VGA cards up to 410mm (16.5″) inside the DK-01X and DK-02X.

Connectivity

For both the DK-01X and the DK-02X, the I/O panel is located at the front side of the sliding drawer. The DK-01X front I/O includes four USB 3.0 ports and HD audio connections, while the DK-02X sports two sets of these same connections for both systems. Also, located on the front sliding drawer of the DK-01X and DK-02X is a slim optical drive bay, which can house an SSD.

Price and Availability

The DK-01X and DK-02X will be available in the US at the end of July for the suggested retail prices of $989 and $1189 respectively.
