Lian Li Lancool 216 Airflow Focus Case Review

A Closer Look – Exterior

The Lian Li Lancool 216 Airflow has quite a few features, but some of them are optional and come in the components box. There’s a vertical GPU bracket, mounting plate, and all the usual screws and fittings in here.

I love that the screws come in a proper sorting box, so you can easily sort and store them for future usage.

The case itself looks stunning, with all matching white plastics and metals, as well as a crystal-clear tempered glass window that really makes it pop. Of course, it’s also available in black too, if that’s more your style.

Down the left side, there’s the glass, obviously, but it stops at the PSU shroud.

At the lower section, a mesh section takes over, allowing for plenty of ventilation throughout the lower parts of the case.

There’s a full-width mesh filter up on the top too; it’s a fine mesh, but not quite as fine as a normal dust filter.

That mesh matches up with some fake ventilation on the front I/O, so that it matches up the lines to the front panel, which looks really cool, actually. The front I/O has two USB 3.0 ports, as well as a Type-C, combined audio jack, and power controls. What’s really neat is the USB ports are white, matching up with the rest of the case.

The right side panel is just a solid white panel, but it’s thick steel and doesn’t flex, which is always good to know.

The front is all mesh, with loads of ventilation for those two huge pre-installed front fans.

Around the back, there are two thumbscrews to release the top cover and one to release the glass panel. The rear panel is tool-free… honestly, I’d have liked it to be a little more constant, is it tool-free or screws Lian Li? Pick one!

One detail I do like is that all the screws on the white case are a bright silver, rather than black, and it just looks more premium as a result.

On the underside, there are four long feet with thick rubber grips to provide additional grip and prevent it from scratching your desk or floor. There’s also a very large slide-out dust filter for the PSU intake too.
