Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum Wireless Headset Review

Final Thoughts

Price

Let’s be honest, you never expected this headset to be cheap and it’s not. What is surprising is how it’s not more expensive than it is, at just £169.99 it is fiercely competitive, as spec-for-spec, I could spend £250 on various amazing headsets and not getting any better performance, and still fall short on the feature set the G933 Artemis Spectrum offer. They’re not cheap, but the sheer value for money on offer here is virtually unmatched by anything else on the market.

Overview

The Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum had big boots to fill, it’s predecessor is a fantastic headset and one we here at eTeknix regard as one of the best wireless headsets you can buy, even to this day. However, the G933 takes the performance to such a new height, that you would be mad not to look at this new model for an upgrade. When it comes to wireless headsets, there are a few drawbacks, such as connectivity to none-wireless devices, eg, anything that isn’t your PC and that can use the dongle. Logitech sidestepped this issue by simply adding a 3.5mm jack to the dongle, unlocking a huge range of devices to being compatible with it, and that’s a simple feature that has quickly become a serious game changer. Not forgetting the funky storage space for the USB dongle in the side of the headset, making it ideal for transporting your headset.

The driver performance puts the G933 at the top of the class. Accurate across the full range, with a long list of features, allowing you to tweak and fiddle the sound till your heart is content. Being able to deploy your favourite EQ, profile, surround settings and more from a top of the programmable hot-keys directly on the headset is a feature you won’t want to miss out on, especially if you chop and change between music, movies, gaming, work and more quite a lot while using your headset.

RGB is a popular buzzword this year, but the Artemis Spectrum has all the modern lighting features you could hope for. 16.8 million colours to play around with means you’ll have zero issues finding the hue you most desire, with added effects, multiple device sync and more to really make it your own.

The build quality is of the highest calibre, providing you with a durable, lightweight and comfortable headset that looks as good as it feels. When it boils down to it, £169.99 is a lot of money, but even then, the G933 offers so much more than you would expect for its price range.

“Logitech has been in the desktop audio game for a very long time, but the G933 Artemis Spectrum is by far their greatest work to date. If you’re looking for a feature packed headset that ticks virtually every box, then you’ll be wanting to put the G933 right at the top of your shopping list.”
