Marvo Scorpion G813 RGB Gaming Mouse Review

How Much Does it Cost?

The MARVO Scorpion G813 USB RGB LED Black Programmable Gaming Mouse is available now from Amazon with an MSRP of just £24.99. However, it’s actually selling on there for just £15.45! That’s right, all this for fifteen quid, that’s a hard deal to beat for something that looks this good. A great match for the Marvo KG901 mechanical keyboard. Not only that, but I’ve even seen it as cheap as £11 on Google Shopping… Jeez!

Overview

As I was saying, it’s so easy to get caught up with what’s happening with the big-name brands, the most expensive brands, the cool brands. You can often lose sight of what’s happening in the more affordable part of the market. When I started reviewing peripherals, any keyboard or mouse under £20 was the stuff you found in Wilkinsons or Target bargain bins for junky old computers. Now for the same sort of money, you’re getting a bunch of premium features for very little money.

Build Quality

Honestly, it’s pretty decent. They’re not the most high-end components, but that’s to be expected. That being said, the switches feel pretty robust and have a good tactile feedback, the sensor works well, and even the USB cable was nicely braided. So, not quite on par with your Corsair and Logitechs, but certainly good enough, and dare I say it, much better than I expected.

Performance

This pretty much falls back to what I said about build quality actually. The mouse doesn’t feel cheap, it actually feeds pretty sturdy and you can game quite confidently on it. The sensor performance has been more than good enough for playing Elder Scrolls Online the last two days, and I’ve got a bit of Photoshop work done too with no major issues. The side grips work rather well, and the addition of the forward side switch for snipper shots or an extra macro is a big help too.

Should I Buy One?

Honestly, you’ll struggle to beat this deal. Good build quality, a good range of features, stylish RGB lighting effects, and a very affordable price tag.
