Price
This is a flagship gaming mouse that comes packed full of features, so you’re going to have to dig deep for it. The price clocks in at 129.99 EUR directly from Mionix, and while that’s not cheap, the performance alone puts it on par with the best mice on the market, and you’ll not find any of those coming in cheap either. Add to that the biometrics and you’ve got a pretty sweet deal, as there’s nothing else like it on the market today.
Overview
The Mionix Naos QG may seem like a box of gimmicks, but it’s really so much more than that. There’s very little innovation in the mouse market, and it’s great to see someone add a unique feature that can be used for improving your performance, much in the same way monitoring your biometrics at the gym, for giving your viewers more information to absorb while watching game streams, and even more tools for developers to create unique content experiences in games.
The build quality is rock solid, although anyone who has used a Mionix product before will know they’ve always had great quality to everything they make. The ergonomics are perfect, the choice of build materials, switches, the sensor, the braided cable, it’s all without fault and is sure to last a long time.
Best of all, I like the price. The mouse isn’t cheap, but it’s comparable to the flagship products from Razer, MadCatz, Logitech, SteelSeries and Corsair in terms of value, and it certainly has some unique selling points that help give it a currently untapped aspect in the gaming mouse market. The sensor performance is flawless, and by far one of the absolute best we’ve ever tested, so even if you don’t want the biometrics, the mouse its self is worth the retail number all day long.
Overall, we’re very impressed with this mouse. There’s still a lot that can be done with that API, and it’ll be interesting to see what developers can come up with, or if we’ll start seeing more products like this from rival brands. For now, however, the QG is still one of the best gaming mice on the market today.
