Power Consumption
Now, this is the big party trick of the GTX 1660 cards. Sure, they’re not the fastest, but they’re obviously not the slowest cards either. The MSI card beats out the likes of the RX580 and GTX 1060 in performance, often coming close to the GTX 1070 and GTX 1070 Ti. However, it does so while using under 200 watts of power… holy cow that’s impressive. An RTX 580 uses over 320!
Temperatures
Low power transfers to lower heat too, and the Gaming X maxed out at just 66C under load with a 33c idle. That makes it one seriously cool card even if it has a compact design.
Acoustics
As you would expect, that all translates to low noise too. Maxing out at just 36.5 dBa, it’s the 6th quietest card we’ve tested. To be fair, the other GTX 1660 cards aren’t exactly noisy either.
