MSI GTX 760 Twin Frozr Gaming OC 2GB Review

Overclocking

Overclocking our MSI GTX 760 TF Gaming gave huge overclocks on the memory –  with a staggering 7.56GHz effective. Compared this to other GTX 760s we tested where we couldn’t even pass 6.5GHz. Though the GPU core overclocking did let us down, only managing quite a puny 1120MHz stable which is an additional 100MHz. We did drop back the memory clocks to see if higher GPU core clocks could be accessed that way but the card really wouldn’t go much further than that which was a bit of a let down seeing as other GTX 760s we’ve tested had made it to nearly 1200MHz. Final overclocks were 26% on the memory over stock and 14.3% on the GPU core over stock or 9.8% over factory speeds.

These decent overclocks added an extra 7.9% in real 3D performance gains as measured by a change in 3DMark 11 P Scores.
