MSI Unveils Z170 Krait Gaming Motherboard

MSI has recently unveiled the image above depicting its upcoming Z170 Krait Gaming Motherboard, which features an awesome black/white look as well as quite a few gaming-related features.  As part of the brand’s first wave of LGA1151 motherboards, this board will launch officially in the early days of August when we can also expect to see Intel’s i5-6600K and i7-6700K Skylake quad-core processors.

The Z170 Krait Gaming boasts white touches on its ports, connectors, heatsinks and PCB, and it was designed to support up to two graphics cards in its PCI-Express 3.0 X16 slots. It also comes with a third PCI-Express 3.0 x16 (electrical gen 3.0 x4), a PCIe 3.0 x1 and a Legacy PCI slot. It can support up to 64 GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory thanks to its four DIMM slots, and it gets its juice from 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS connectors. Its integrated AudioBoost 3 solution also deserves a mention, as does the Killer E2205 gigabit Ethernet. As far as storage and display outputs are concerned, the Z170 flaunts six SATA 6 Gb/s ports, an M.2 slot, DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI.
