Netgear Prosafe GS724TPS 24 Port Gigabit Smart Stackable PoE Switch Review

With this being an enterprise level piece of equipment, there is no real need to place it into a fancy shipping box as the end user knows what they want before they buy it, so we find a plan brown box with some simple Netgear branding printed on the top.
On one corner is a sticker that lists the model number, serial number, MAC address and shipped firmware version.
Inside we find a large selection of paperwork for conformity, warranty and a basic installation guide along with a pair of CDs with resources and management software.
Alongside two power cables for European and UK connectivity, we also find a HDMI cable, but this switch doesn’t have a display. The HDMI is for the switch stacking feature which we’ll look into a little more later on.
Being a rack mountable switch, Netgear include all the relevant brackets and screws required. For cases where the switch is not mounted in a rack, there are also four silicon feet as well.
