LAN Speed Test a a simple free to use application that creates a file of any given size and pushes it across a network to a given destination folder, measuring the maximum speed of throughput during the file transfer. To get a better and more accurate throughput speed, we set the file size to 1GB. Each wireless adaptor is then tested at a range of <10ft (short range), ~30ft (medium range) and >40ft (long range) on both 2,4GHz and 5GHz bands where supported.
Across the board, the WNDAP360 is capable of keeping not only a strong signal, but also a relatively high throughput speed to both of our test devices. The represent a typical network, we had a number of devices connected concurrently to the access point and at close range the access point topped out at a whopping 69.8MB/s of throughput speed on the 2.4GHz radio whilst at its lowest at well over 40ft, speeds dropped to just over half of that with 39.3MB/s.
