Performance & Aesthetics

So, in terms of build quality, we’ve well established that the noblechairs LEGEND is absolutely fantastic. – And with five different colour designs to choose from, consumers clearly have plenty of options here to pick a model that will best suit their overall environment. And yes, this in my opinion includes professional or gaming settings.

For me though, I absolutely love this BLACK/RED/WHITE design. I think it’s arguable the most garish which, given how amazingly understated it still looks, really says something about the overall professional nature of the LEGEND series.

Tilt Control

What about tilt control though? Well, here I think noblechairs has made a really smart decision. I review a pretty solid number of gaming chairs and they all seem to want to out-do each other when it comes to tilt angles. And let’s be honest, there is no reason at all why you should need a chair to tilt all the way to 180 degrees and beyond.

Even just on a personal level, although I’m sure they are, I never personally feel very safe after a certain point.

With this in mind, therefore, the noblechairs LEGEND comes with a maximum tilt angle of a relatively humble 125 degrees. This can, of course, be somewhat increased through the artificial option of the ‘soft-tilt’ function, but for me, I think this is the absolutely perfect angle which most consumers will want (or need).

Comfort

The noblechairs LEGEND doesn’t necessary offer the highest levels of comfort, but this is by no means any kind of criticism. By this, what I’m trying to say that if you’re looking for a soft and squidgy armchair, then this isn’t it! Nor, indeed, should it be since a good gaming chair should actually support your back rather than absorb it.

The noblechairs LEGEND is rather firm, but the thing is, I like firm. I like to feel that a chair is wrapping around and tightly bear hugging me. Even the head and lumbar support pillows, which I usually dislike, feel well sized and firm enough to genuinely offer actual support rather than merely acting as some kind of artificial premium-level perk.

The noblechairs LEGEND is a comfortable chair, but, for want of a better word, in a kind of old fashioned way. It’s firm, supportive, but is made with soft materials that don’t come over as abrasive or cheap. And there is a big different between a cheap plastic firm chair, and a good firm chair.

While all good quality gaming chairs do require a little ‘breaking in’, if you’re looking for super-soft premium levels of comfort as you would from a sofa or armchair, this isn’t it. Nor should it be as a gaming/office chairs bigger priority is ensuring you’re not just comfortable, but sitting well in a position you’ll likely hold for many hours each day.

And in this regard, I genuinely think I could sit in the noblechairs LEGEND all day long and come up out of it feeling every bit as good as I did before I sat down! – It’s a nice place to be. It feels nice, and it looks nice. And there’s an easy reason as to why that it: It’s because it is nice!
