Noctua NH-D14 SE2011 CPU Cooler Review

The front of the packaging gives us a list of key features but the sticker stands out to me. Apparently our review sample is part of the “special bundle” NH-D14 SE2011 retail version.

This basically means this isn’t the “normal” NH-D14 but the updated SE2011 version which we already knew but it includes mounting hardware for other sockets. Essentially this is a normal NH-D14 + the extras of the NH-D14 SE2011 combined.

The side of the box gives us more details on those key features.

The other side houses the key specifications on the two different fans, heatsink and included materials.

The other side caters for the multi-lingual market with a brief product description in many languages.

The top has a sticker pointing out the details of why this is a special bundle. Like Noctua says this is essentially a free mounting and fan upgrade over the standard NH-D14 version.

Included with this NH-D14 is an abundance of stuff.  First we’ve got the bag of common parts.

This includes two different low noise adaptors, a Y cable, some thermal paste, a Noctua case badge and an extension cable. The fully metal case badge and large tube of NT-H1 are really nice quality touches IMO.

Included is a multi-socketed manual.

Inside you get manuals for both AMD and Intel in separate compartments which is a nice touch.

Additionally you get a little note from Noctua thanking you for your purchase.

Furthermore, we get an AMD mounting kit.

This has AMD brackets, screws and spacers for AM3(+)/AM2(+), FM1 and FM2. Though you’ll need the stock AMD backplate too.

We also get a screwdriver and an Intel mounting bag.

This has fan screws, anti-vibration mounts, Intel brackets, locking nuts and stand-offs.

There is another Intel bag with the rest of the mounting hardware you’ll need.

This includes more locking nuts, spacers and brackets to allow you to mount for LGA 115X and LGA 775.
