Noontec Hammo TV Wireless Headphones Review

Final Thoughts

Price

The Noontec Hammo Tv Wireless TV Headphones are available from Amazon for around £129 in the UK and $119 in the US. That’s obviously a significant investment, but with the build quality and features on offer, it’s somewhat competitive. There are cheaper units on the market. However, you don’t have to look for long to realise that they look a lot cheaper too.

Overview

Noontec rarely disappoints regarding quality. The Hammo TV, despite their strange name, are a quality product that’s sure to appeal to those wanting a decent set of headphones for their home entertainment needs. I still think you can get a lot better headphones if you want to go down the wired route. Of course, that defeats a lot of the benefits you get from wireless. Not everyone is going to want to be tethered or limited by the range of a cable.

For those who are hard of hearing, TV headphones are an excellent way to boost the volume levels without cranking the TV to 11; leaving everyone else in the room sticking their fingers their ears. For me, I have two kids, and if my partner is working or reading on an evening, and I want to kick back and watch some crazy Sci-Fi show. Giving everyone else peace and quiet while I enjoy my show by using headphones is a tempting solution.

The multi-purpose approach of the Hammo certainly adds value for money. I can pair them with any other Bluetooth audio device, such as my smartphone, even my Amazon Echo Dot, allowing me to enjoy games and music with ease. I can hook them up to a console, Hi-Fi, TV, etc too, so there’s plenty of options here. I’m surprised they don’t use a higher Bluetooth protocol (4.0), but you do get AptX support, and the quality is excellent; interference and lag are non-existant.

As we always see with Noontec, the build quality is excellent. Using beautifully finish premium materials that you would expect given their premium price tag. Overall, they may be a bit of a niche product for some. But they’re one of the best quality products in their respective part of the market.

Pros

  • Superb build quality
  • Stylish aesthetics
  • AptX support
  • Wired/Wireless operation
  • Long battery life
  • Good wireless range
  • Good sound quality
  • Easy to use
  • Built-in headphone stand

Cons

  • Use of proprietary 3.5mm charging cable

Neutral

  • Price is quite high but reflects the overall range of features and quality

“When you want to kick back with your favourite show, but aren’t able to have your speakers cranked up late at night. The Hammo TV are the perfect tool for the job. They’re a little expensive, but deliver a premium quality experience that more than justifies the price tag.”
