Nordic Games Announces Darksiders: Warmastered Edition

Even though Darksiders 2 is generally regarded as a favorite by many gamers, I personally enjoyed the fist Darksiders quite a bit more. In this title, gamers take on the role of one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse named War, and they engage in a memorable adventure driven by a powerful storyline, a story that still receives plenty of attention six years after the game’s release.

“Brought before the sacred Charred Council, War is indicted for his crimes and stripped of his powers. Dishonored and facing his own death, War is given the opportunity to return to Earth to search for the truth and punish those responsible.

Hunted by a vengeful group of Angels, War must take on the forces of Hell, forge uneasy alliances with the very demons he hunts, and journey across the ravaged remains of the Earth on his quest for vengeance and vindication.”

Nordic Games has just announced Darksiders: Warmastered Edition – a special edition of this acclaimed title that features higher quality textures, better shadow rendering, and new post-processing effects. Even though we don’t have an exact release date at the time of writing, we do know that the edition will become available on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and that it will run natively at 1080p and 60 frames per second on these platforms. Furthermore, it looks like the edition will also make its way to the Wii U, which will run it at 1080p and 30 frames per second. Below you will find a complete list of features for Darksiders: Warmastered Edition.

  • PS4, Xbox One and Wii U versions of Darksiders (Wrath of War).
  • Native 1080p rendering resolution.
  • Doubled all the texture resolutions.
