Nvidia 526.86 WHQL Drivers Now Actually Game Ready for CoD: MW II

NVIDIA has released the latest GeForce 526.86 WHQL drivers, and about time too, as these drivers promise to deliver a much more stable gaming experience for those of you playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. The previous “game ready” drivers were less than ideal, resulted in image corruption issues and had several bugs with both DLSS and Reflex. There’s also a fix for the random crashing in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Of course, there are a good few other fixes in this update too, such as the resolution of a BSOD issue with VTube Studio, or the GPU getting stuck in the P0 power state after exiting certain games. Rainbow-like artefacts in Forza Horizon 5 in some PC configurations are now fixed too. Honestly, it’s one of the better-looking updates I’ve seen in a while, and it fixes some pretty sweeping issues.

It’s strongly recommended you update your drivers for Call of Duty though, and you can download them manually here, or update them via Geforce Experience.

Fixed Issues in Version 526.86 WHQL

  • [Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II] Flashing corruption can be seen randomly while playing the game.
  • [Call of Duty: Vanguard] Game may randomly crash after extended gameplay
  • VTube Studio crashes to black screen after driver update
  • GPU may get stuck in P0 state after exiting certain games
  • [Anvil Engine Games] Environment flickering
  • Drop in 8K60 AV1 decoding performance on RTX 4090
  • [Forza Horizon 5] Some PC configurations may see rainbow-like artefacts in game after extended gameplay
