NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Rumored to Feature 32GB of GDDR7 Memory

NVIDIA’s next-generation GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card is rumored to come with significant upgrades, including 32GB of GDDR7 memory. According to recent leaks, this powerful GPU will boast 16 GDDR7 memory modules in a new denser design.

Major Memory Upgrade

The GeForce RTX 5090 will reportedly use next-gen GDDR7 memory. This memory will be arranged in a new configuration that allows for up to 16 modules, each potentially holding 2GB of memory. This setup would give the RTX 5090 a total of 32GB of GDDR7, a substantial increase from previous models.

Improved Performance

The new GB202 “Blackwell” GPU inside the RTX 5090 is expected to have a similar CUDA core count as the AD103 “Ada Lovelace” GPU in the RTX 4080, featuring 96 SMs and 12,288 CUDA cores. This new architecture should provide a 40-50% performance boost over the RTX 4080, particularly at 4K resolution.

Enhanced Ray Tracing and DLSS 4

Ray tracing performance is where the RTX 5090 is expected to shine. The next-gen Blackwell-based GPUs are rumored to offer 2-3 times the ray tracing performance of the current RTX 40 series. Additionally, the new DLSS 4 technology, exclusive to the RTX 50 series, promises even higher image quality and performance levels.

Power Efficiency

Despite the increased performance, the RTX 5090 will likely be more power-efficient. The current RTX 4090 uses between 450W and 600W, but the new series will deliver better performance-per-watt, making it an attractive option for gamers looking for high-end performance without excessive power consumption.

Future of 4K Gaming

With these advancements, the RTX 5090 is set to be the ultimate gaming GPU. It will easily handle 4K gaming at 120FPS and is expected to support 4K at 240FPS in the near future.

NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5090 is shaping up to be a game-changer with its impressive memory, performance enhancements, and power efficiency. Gamers and tech enthusiasts alike are eagerly awaiting its official release.
