NVIDIA To Reduce 4070 Production Over Low Sales

NVIDIA’s recently released RTX 4070 hasn’t exactly been selling like hotcakes and it seems that NVIDIA may be forced to respond to this by reducing production.

NVIDIA Cutting 4070 Production Temporarily

Following reports shared on Chinese Board Channel Forums (via wccftech) NVIDIA has supposedly informed its AICs that in response to the poor sales of the RTX 4070, they will be halting the supply of RTX 4070 cards for one month. This move is in an attempt to reduce the effects of an oversupply and allows for the cards currently sitting on shelves to be sold without being forced to reduce prices too much which has already happened for some models with the Palit RTX 4070 Dual being cut already to £579 in various UK retailers.

RTX 4070 Struggling

Judging by the stock available at Scan.co.uk the RTX 4070 is in plentiful stock as well as most of the other 40 series cards. It is also worth noting that the Gigabyte Windforce, MSI Ventus 3x and Zotac Twin Edge have also seen their price drop from the £599 MSRP down to £589.
