The Razer edition of the H440 is a little more expensive than the stock H440, clocking in at $149.99 vs the original $119.99 asking price. This premium does award you with extra lighting and an extra fan, so it’s certainly a worthy investment for any Razer fan. You can also pick up the H440 Razer for £124.99 from Overclockers UK.

Overview

The NZXT H440 is one of the best chassis on the market and the latest edition has done nothing to ruin the magic of the original. It still has incredible build quality throughout, with thick panels, thick sound dampening material, high quality and easily removable dust filters, good quality pre-installed fans, the PSU shroud, great cable management and now, a few extra bonuses.

The makeover has made a big difference to the aesthetics of this chassis and while it may not be appealing to those who don’t like Razer products, it is still a great looking chassis in its own respect. The under lighting, front panel LED logo and the new logo on the PSU shroud look fantastic in a dark room and if you’re wanting to colour coordinate your system build with your black and green Razer keyboard and mouse, then you’re going to be falling over yourself with how great this chassis looks.

The matte black paint job is awesome, it has an almost chalkboard quality to it and offers virtual no reflections from ambient lighting in your room. If you want a stealthy looking chassis, then the Razer edition will certainly offer you that; at least until you turn on the green LED lighting of course.

It’s a $30 premium over the stock model, but for a new paint job, new fans, a darker window tint and the funky lighting, it’s still great value for money vs what it would cost you to add these mods yourself and it’s still worthy of the award I gave the original H440; our Editors Choice Award.
