How Much Does it Cost?

The H9 Flow is available in Matte White, and Matte Black, with tinted glass in the Matte Black models. The H9 Elite is also available in Matte White, and Matte Black and again has tinted glass in the Matte Black models. The H9 Flow has an MSRP of $159.99 and the H9 Elite. $239.99.

Overview

When it comes to design, the H9 isn’t exactly leading the way in innovation. These larger dual-chamber designs have been around for ages now. However, there’s no need to be first to market with everything. It’s sometimes better to be last, so long as you seek to be better than the competition. Personally, I think NZXT has done just that, this is easily a case I would proudly purchase. That’s not to say that the competition doesn’t have some amazing-looking cases too, but NZXT can hold their own, and when it comes down to those aesthetic details, well, that’s really subjective on which one you like the look of, and I like this one.

Build quality gets top marks all around here, as it’s a very well-engineered and designed product. Despite chopping off the front left pillar, the whole case feels extremely rigid and robust. It also weighs around 13KG too, it’s a chunky lump of glass and metal, so don’t skip leg day if you plan on moving it around a lot. Everything fits easily, all the tool points are easy to reach, and the panels are easy to remove but fit flush and securely with ease.

Airflow is very good on the case, with ventilation all over the place. While our performance benchmarks showed it doesn’t cool quite as well as some other cases, that’s a bit of a “well, this is what we got” thing and not always true to what you’ll get. If you use different fans, CPU coolers, and a different GPU, and even set your fan curves to your taste, you can make even the worst cases cool like the best ones (to a certain degree). Either way, this case ran within what we would say are normal tolerances for the hardware and was reasonably quiet too.

Should I Buy One?

Honestly, if I had just a little more room next to my desk, I’d be replacing my personal NZXT H7 right now. I really like it that much. It’s got all the high-end features we’ve come to expect in a premium PC case, it’s very well made, and it’s exceptionally easy to work with. If you want a killer-looking PC build for the latest and greatest hardware, it’s really a no-brainer.
