I’ll be using as many different software applications as possible to gain the broadest spectrum of results, which in return allows for the fairest testing possible.
Software used:
I will be testing the drives with Intel’s RAID controller in each possible drive mode: RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 10 as well as Single disk. I will running a series of benchmarks with the software mentioned above on each setup before destroying it and moving onto the next to repeat it again. The SSD with the operating system is running on a different SATA controller to avoid possible performance impact. Each of the following pages will display a list of screenshots from each test as well as comparison charts for a quick overview.
