Looking at the front of the box, we’re reminded of the same packaging that OCZ use for the rest of their drives but using typical grey Vertex colours like we saw on the Vertex 2. The key highlighted points on this drive, as printed on the front, is that it’s SandForce driven, uses MLC flash memory, uses a SATA III interface and on top of all of that, it has TRIM support.
Flipping the box over we find a short blurb about the Vertex series of drive and what they’re designed to do. On the right hand side is a specification table which informs us of the 550MB/s read and 520MB/s write speeds that this drive is capable of.
Being a Vertex series drive gives us an added bonus that comes included in the form of an installation bracket when using this SSD inside a desktop computer.
