Ozone Strike Battle Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Review

Final Thoughts

Price

This is the real winner for this Ozone, the Strike Battle is an absolute bargain at £65! When Ferrari create a stripped down, sports ready version of their cars, the price goes up, that really isn’t the case here. The keyboard is available in black and red variants and is quite simply one of the best value for money gaming keyboards I’ve ever seen.

Overview

I am going to start off by saying one thing, I hate TKL style keyboards, I rely on the number pad too much in my daily work that I simply cannot live without it. This is something that pains me greatly, because this keyboard has stolen my heart. It’s one of my favourite mechanical keyboards that I’ve ever used and while I contest that it’s not actually the best in terms of build quality of features, something about the typing action and the slim design just makes me want to own it and use it every day, which is all anyone really wants from their keyboard.

If you do a lot of gaming, the TKL design leaves you with just the most important keys at your disposal. The extra few inches of desk space you’ll save give you valuable desktop real estate that you can use for your mouse and while this isn’t an issue on my larger desk, others who are limited on space will see a huge benefit here. I’ve been to a few LAN gaming events and I’ve seen the small amount of table space given to BYOC gamers, so again, the shorter design will come in handy for this.

All the major gaming features are well catered for, with Windows lock, macros, on-board memory, LED lighting, adjustable report rates and a whole lot more. They keyboard is slim, lightweight, has a very manageable cable, has premium grade build quality and isn’t too expensive either. So if you’ve got an urgent need for a gaming keyboard that you can throw into your backpack, this one needs to be right at the top of your shopping list.

Pros

  • Great build quality
  • Compact design
  • Light weight
  • Competitive price
  • LED lighting
  • Macros
  • Choice of MX switches

Cons

  • Macro key placement isn’t ideal, but it’s still nice to have them

“Ozone has delivered one of the coolest looking keyboards I’ve ever tested, with sleek ergonomics, great build quality and plenty of features. I doubt you’ll find anything better in terms of performance or in terms of design at a more reasonable price!”
