Philips Evnia 49″ 5120×1440 240Hz QD-OLED HDR Ultrawide Gaming Monitor Review

It’s more than fair to say that not all monitors are created equally, as there’s a size, budget and feature set to suit just about any scenario. But what if you wanted more monitor than anyone else, with more features, and what if you also had the money to afford such a mythical creature? Well, that’s where the Philips Evnia series comes into play. Measuring in at a staggering 49″ with a super-ultrawide format of 32:9, it’s as wide as two 16:9 monitors! To fill that vast space, it can deliver a massive resolution of 5120×1440 at an incredible 240Hz thanks to its flagship QD-OLED HDR panel. Clearly, this monitor is serious business, and even the fastest gaming PCs on the planet are going to sweat trying to get even close to maxing out what it can do while gaming.

Features

With a massive high-resolution, high-refresh-rate, ultra-low-latency panel, the Philips Evnia 49″ is sure to impress. However, the feature list certainly doesn’t stop there. It also features the latest AMD FreeSync Premium Pro HDR, VESA Certified ClearMR, True-10bit colour reproduction, powerful 30W DTS Sound speakers, Ambiglow lighting effects, USB-C charging and likely more, but right now, I can’t imagine what could be missing! I actually reviewed the Evnia 8000 34″ model about 6 months ago and that felt big, but compared to this, the 49″ is bigger in size and beats just about every feature of the last model… wow!

So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
