Within the coming month, AMD is set to release their new RX 500 series of graphics cards. Based on the old RX 400 cards and Polaris GPUs, the new series is meant to provide a refresh with likely updated clock speeds and other minor enhancements. So far we’ve seen glimpses of what appear to the reference models for the RX 580 and RX 570 but PowerColor may have just teased the first custom RX 580.

The new Red Devil from Powercolor is most likely the new RX 580 or least the RX 570. That has been the market PowerColor is targeting with their Red Devil lineup. This Red Devil appears to be a modified version of the RX 470 variant. We have dual fans which are somewhat larger, what appears to be a LED backlit Red Devil logo and other red highlights on the cooler shroud.

Based on the information revealed so far, April 18th is when AMD will release their new RX 500 lineup. Unlike the RX 400, we can expect custom cards to arrive right away and stock will most likely be able to meet demand this time. Unfortunately, that means we still have 2 more weeks to go until we get all the details like specifications and pricing for PowerColor’s new card.
