Prolimatech Black Genesis CPU Cooler Review

At stock we have good results, but not that impressive given we’ve got two 140mm fans and it cannot beat the single 140mm Prolimatech Megahalems and Scythe Ashura.

Acoustics are very much dictated by the fans Prolimatech provided, the Vortex 14 aluminium, and while these fans shift a serious amount of air they certainly aren’t the quietest.

Overclocking showed us that the Genesis with two 140mm fans is roughly equivalent to the Megahalems with a single 140mm fan. Not that impressive given they both cost the same. Though obviously the Prolimatech Genesis provides downflow air to cool the RAM and other components – something our graph can’t really show.

Acoustics were basically identical too since we used the same fans at more or less the same PWM profiles. The only difference being we had two rather than one adding some extra noise to the total.
