Prolimatech Genesis CPU Cooler Review

While situated in a room where background noise was kept to a minimum, we placed the sound level meter equal distances from our test system to measure the total noise output by the complete test system for each cooling configuration at 100% fan speed.

Operating at 1000 RPM, the pair of Blue Vortex 14 fans catapult the Genesis into an acoustic-performance lead tied with its Megahalems brother using the same fans. This acoustic chart can be taken with a pinch of salt as the results will heavily depend upon your choice of fan. It does however put into perspective the balance between low-noise operation and acceptable performance. This balance may be of more use than raw performance to some users.
