QNAP has announced the launch of its new 2-bay TS-253E and 4-bay TS-453E NAS. The TS-x53E series is powered by an Intel Celeron J6412 quad-core processor (burst up to 2.60 GHz), which will be available and supported by QNAP for an extended period (up to 2029). The TS-x53E series is ideal for managed service providers, system integrators, and other IT-related businesses requiring matching NAS models for long-term projects.

The TS-x53E series features 8 GB RAM, dual 2.5 GbE connectivity, and dual M.2 2280 PCIe slots to empower file servers, backup servers and other essential applications. Dual HDMI output also provides the potential for robust surveillance monitoring and direct multimedia playback. By setting port trunking with dual 2.5 GbE ports, businesses can take advantage of up to 5 Gbps bandwidth for better performance and multi-user service. Users also can install NVMe SSDs in the M.2 PCIe slots and activate SSD caching for boosting overall NAS performance, or Qtier, QNAP’s auto-tiering technology that helps continuously optimize storage efficiency.

The new TS-x53E series comes with the latest version of the QTS operating system, which features rich NAS business applications while ensuring NAS data safety: Snapshots can be used to protect NAS against ransomware; myQNAPcloud allows users to connect securely to NAS via the Internet; Hybrid Backup Sync can easily back up NAS files to the cloud or remote/local NAS to fulfil the 3-2-1 backup strategy; QVR Elite allows users to build a surveillance system with lower TCO and higher scalability.
