QNAP TS-x31P2 and TS-431X2 Entry Level NAS Now Available

QNAP is releasing two of their latest NAS devices, specifically for home and SOHO use. The TS-x31P2 and TS-431×2 series make use of Annapurna Labs AL-314, 4-core,1.7GHz CPUs. These NAS devices also support Snapshots, allowing users to quickly restore the last safe satate in case of failure. This is also especially useful for businesses for quick recovery after a ransomware attack.

These QNAP devices also support up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, SATA 6Gb/s drive support and dual Gigabit LAN ports. The TS-431×2 also features a 10GbE SFP+ port, so the solution is scalable to future 10GbE network infrastructure. The drives inside are kept secure via AES-256 encryption, ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive data is maintained. Both also support SSD caching to greatly boost the performance of storage volumes, therefore increasing operational efficiency.
