How Much Does it Cost?

The QPAD MK-40 Pro Gaming Membranical Keyboard is available now for just £57.58. While the QH-25 Headset is just £36.95, which is pretty modest, but I suspect pushing up for the QPAD QH-85 Pro is a tempting option too. The star of the show has to be the mouse though, the DX-30 is just £24.47 and that’s pretty competitive for what you get. All in, you’ll be getting change from £120, which is not a bad deal at all.

Overview

Honestly, I think QPAD has done a pretty decent job here. There are a few niggles here, a few minor quirks, but nothing major. I don’t think any brand has anything in this price range that doesn’t have its pros and cons. If they were perfect and amazing in every way, they would be £120+ each, not £120 for all three. I’m not saying you have to make compromises if you’re on a budget, but you do have to have realistic expectations too.

Gaming Keyboard

The keyboard was a big surprise. I’ve used these plunger switch keyboards before, but I’m not used to them having a click like a mechanical. It was a pleasant surprise, and for the price of it, it’s a tough one to beat. Plus, the screw-on design for the wrist rest was interesting. Sure, it’s detachable, but screw it in place and that bugger ain’t going anywhere.

Audio

The headset isn’t the best looking in the QPAD range, I’ll admit. However, for voice chat, I found it rather enjoyable to use. It sounds clear and bright, and the microphone was competent enough. The fact it’ll work on multiple devices, and even has a handy USB soundcard does sweeten the deal though.

Mouse

The optical mouse was my favourite though, albeit a close second to the keyboard. I think it looks fantastic, and the RGB looks on par with much more expensive models too.

Should I Buy Them?

Honestly, it’s a pretty decent bundle for around £120, and certainly competitive with other brands more affordable products too. The headset could be better, but at around £30, it’s not a bad deal for a chat headset. You get a modest amount of features, some RGB lighting, and pretty decent aesthetics too.
