Razer Joins Forces with Retrosuperfuture To Launch Some Ugly Sunglasses

Razer has teamed up with Retrosuperfuture to announce a very late April Fool’s joke in the form of some very ugly sunglasses.

These sunglasses are Razer’s first collaboration on fashion eyewear and hopefully their last, as these should not be worn in public. They are designed in collaboration with Italian brand Retrosuperfuture and blend Razer’s iconic design aesthetics with Retrosuperfuture’s Italian craftmanship. The glasses are inspired by the sportswear pieces with urban streetwear vibes and a hint of secondary school science protective eye visors. They utilise a unique high-tech photochromic lens so they can be used both indoors and outdoors because the former is likely the only place you could wear these with confidence. Being Razer they are also equipped with blue light protection to shield your eyes during long gaming sessions.

To mark this model and celebrate the exclusive collaboration, the lenses will be scribed with Razer’s tagline, “For Gamers. By Gamers”. In addition, each eyewear would be uniquely serialized on the right outer temples. The inscriptions will complement Razer’s iconic acid green branding.

If you for whatever reason would like to own this monstrosity, they will be available from May 5th at an MSRP of $239.00 USD / 249€ MSRP exclusively on Razer.com and in select Retrosuperfuture stores. Alternatively, you could spend $239 on your food for the next few weeks.
