SoftwareWithout the software package, the Razer Naga isn’t really any different from other gaming mice as its stand out feature is the configurable macro buttons. The installer is around 38.5 MB in size and can be downloaded directly from Razer’s website. The main page of the software handles the button assignments. Near the top of the page there are two tabs which let you select between top view and thumb grid view. The former lets you configure all the standard buttons we would usually find on a mice and the latter lets you assign functions to the keypad.

On the second page, entitled ‘Tweak Performance’, we are able to set the sensitivity and acceleration of the mouse as well as the poll rate. Sensitivity can be adjusted separately for X and Y axes should you wish.

Clicking the third tab along the top lets us manage the different configuration profiles. This means that you can set the mouse up with specific macros, functions and basic configuration for different uses. You can either switch profiles manually or use a clever function which will automatically activate a profile when you start a particular application or game.

The fourth page lets us manage the macros. Razer have integrated a comprehensive macro manager which lets you record your own macros, including specific delays and basic commands which can be used for various functions like printing or locking your PC.

The fifth and final page of the software lets us configure the two lighting areas. Unlike some of Razer’s other mice, the Naga only lets us turn the two different lighting areas (Scroll wheel and thumb grid and the Razer logo) on and off. Other mice let us choose from different lighting effects and colours.
