Roccat Savu Mid-Size Hybrid Gaming Mouse Review

Introduction

On the gaming test bench today we have the Roccat Savu and if past Roccat products are anything to judge this by, then we should be in for a real treat today. While sure this mouse isn’t as premium as their high-end Kone XTD, but not everyone has £80 to spend on a gaming mouse, the Savu looks set to tackle the mid budget market with a mid-size hybrid mouse for only £45.

For around £50 there are some truly great products on the market, but Roccat are known for their high quality and ability to cram insane amounts of features into their products, on paper at least the Savu seems like no exception to that rule and as you can see from the specifications on the image above, Roccat aren’t about to cut features along with the price tag.

eSports, home gaming, or just browsing the web and wasting time on Reddit, it doesn’t matter what you do at your computer, you are most certainly going to be using a mouse, so it makes sense that you’re going to want something that is comfortable, versatile, well made and affordable, lets see if Roccat can meet those demands head on.

As you can see, the Savu comes in a really nicely designed box, covered in awards and marketing logos that show off the extensive feature set of the mouse, this includes the 4000 DPI sensor, easy-shift mode, LED lighting and side grips.

Around the back we have even more features and a multi-language break down also.

In the box I found an easy to follow user guide / manual, but nothing else in the way of extras.
