There’s certainly a lot going on inside this unit, with several banks of heat fins to help keeps things running nice and cool covering almost every part of the PCB.
There’s quite a lot of wiring on the interior, and it does look a bit scruffy, although that’s not really a big problem as all cables are over to one side and shouldn’t cause issues with airflow.
The line filtering state looks fairly comprehensive, but again, it’s a little cluttered to really see what’s going on. I guess we’ll find out in our testing if the setup here is practical or not.
The cables are grouped with cable ties to keep everything in place and some wrap has been put around the solder.
The modular cable PCB looks neat and tidy, with clean solder and a durable mounting to the rear of the PSU.
There are two main bulk capacitors in this unit, both Nippon 450V 330uf 105C rated, so I’ve no doubt we’ll surpass that 1000W rating in our OPP test.
There are a few daughter boards located around the edges, which helps save space and improve cooling, each in place to help regulate voltages and maintain efficiency.
The fan is a Young Lin Tech 12V model, and looks pretty robust, with an 11-fin design that should allow for plentiful airflow and minimal noise.
