AMD’s six-core Ryzen 5 7500F is set to be the first AM5 processor to not feature integrated graphics and today new benchmarks have been revealed for this processor.

Ryzen 5 7500F

The Ryzen 5 7500F is a 6 core 12 thread CPU which is the first AM5 chip to not feature an iGPU hence its F naming is similar to Intel’s F CPUs. This CPU features a 3.7 GHz clock speed which places it 100MHz lower than the Ryzen 5 7600. Recently a leaked Geekbench benchmark of this as-of-yet unreleased CPU was shared by Olrak29_ on Twitter (via VideoCardz) and included both single-core and multi-core benchmarks. The 7500F was tested on Geekbench 6.1 using 32GB of DDR5-6000 on an ASUS A620M-Plus motherboard.

VideoCardz took the liberty of finding benchmarks to pit the 7500F against the 7600X with the same A620 board with DDR5-6000. It was found that its 2729 single-core performance was 4% less than the 7600x at 2884 however the multi-core performance was bizarrely 2% higher at 13323 compared to the 7600x at 13059. This is most likely a margin of error as theoretically, this chip shouldn’t be beating the 7600X.

New Great Budget Option?

The 7500F with this performance could be a fairly nice budget choice especially if it is only slightly worse performing than the 7600x. Being an F series chip it will likely be a reasonably good price as well since Intel’s F series chips tend to be cheaper than their iGPU equipped alternatives. Alternatively, this CPU could end up exclusive to OEMs rather than sold to enthusiasts which could be unfortunate for some budget builders.
