Pricing and Final Thoughts

At the time of this review, Sabrent’s Rocket Q with 4TB capacity can be yours for £623.81 and $749.99. While that sounds like a lot, it is because it is. It is a 50% premium over the 1TB price. That said, it’s totally worth the asking price. Not only is it a new generation, but it’s also a game-changer with such a huge capacity on an SSD. And then on a 2280 module. Impressive.

The larger 8TB version can be yours for £1385.99 and $1499.00.

Final Thought

Sabrent is a company who sets new standards when it comes to storage. I have previously had a look at the normal Rocket series and I was impressed. That doesn’t change for the Rocket Q which is a little cheaper thanks to the usage of QLC NAND. Groundbreaking capacities along with great performance in a tiny form factor. What’s not to love? I don’t know, I love it all and would be proud to have a drive such as this in my own system on any day.

Whether you do a lot of 4K video editing or just want to store your entire game library at once, you can do it with a drive such as this. And while the price is a little higher per GB than with your average 1TB or 2TB drive, it isn’t bad as such and totally worth it in my opinion.

The drive supports all the features you need and the M.2 2280 form factor makes sure that it will fit in most systems. On top of it all, you get a copy of Acronis True Image cloning software which is a bonus on any day.

Should I Purchase One?

Do you need 4TB capacity in a tiny form factor, then yes, go for it! The Sabrent Rocket Q 4TB is an amazing drive that allows you to store a previously unprecedented amount of data in a tiny form factor.

Pros

  • Huge capacity in a tiny form factor
  • Fast and durable
  • Supports ONFi 2.3 to 4.0 along with the usual features and wear levelling.
  • Includes Acronis True Image cloning software

Cons

  • Price

“Sabrent continues to move the barriers for what’s possible in the storage sector. The Rocket Q is a truly amazing drive which is reasonable priced and offers a huge storage space.”
