Sapphire’s R9 270 Dual-X is a surprisingly nice looking little card. It is also really small at just 20.5cm/ 8.1 inches long. The aesthetics are dominated by the dual 80mm fans with the Dual-X branding.
The PCB is fully black which is always good for the picky consumer (like myself).
At the top we can see the card is open for ventilation and uses a pair of 8mm heat pipes. We can also see that each memory chip is active cooled by a thermal pad linked to the main heatsink.
At the bottom we can see a similar picture.
The end reveals the two PWM fan cables as well as an end-mounted (not top-mounted) PCI express power connector. This means you need to account for a bit of extra cable-room at the end of the card to the taking the total length to 21.5cm or 8.45 inches.
The rear I/O uses dual DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort.
