Sapphire RX 7700 XT Pure 12GB Graphics Card Review

Power & Temperatures

For an area that does make a difference, we booted up F1 22 for an hour-long loop to see exactly how the card performs under a prolonged gaming session in terms of temperatures and cooling performance.

The GPU temperature had a reasonably low peak at 60 degrees but sat a degree lower at 59 degrees for most of the test, whilst the hotspot shot up to an 83 degree peak but sat at 82 for most of the test. The memory junction temperature stayed and peaked at 78 degrees throughout the test while the core clock was mostly at 2630 MHz, but did peak at 2690 MHz whilst the fans span up to around 1420 RPM, which lead to a fairly quiet card that used a total board power of 239 Watts.
