Seagate FireCuda 510 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD Review

Pricing and Final Thoughts

You can currently grab one of these 1TB Seagate FireCuda 510 SSDs for £216.38 on Amazon. The US version of the site didn’t have the drive listed at the time of this review.

Final Thoughts

With the FireCuda 510, Seagate once and for all stomps those who thought they only could make HDDs and SSHDs. While they aren’t exactly new to the world of NAND, the FireCuda 510 shows everyone how it is done. It is a great drive which performs very well. It easily competes with other brands that we’ve tested in the past and delivers superb results.

While the FireCuda 510 might seem to cost a little more than some of the competing drives, it also delivers more. For example, the TBW rating is over the double of other drives with its 1300TB vs 600TB of most other 1TB NVMe drives. That’s impressive and speaks for both the quality and the faith that Seagate has in the drive. Should you still worry about the endurance, then Seagate also offers their optinal recovery service for the drive. A small extra price and you’re covered against the worst case scenario of a broken drive and lost data.

Should I Purchase One?

If you want a well performing and long lasting drive which loads your games and apps in no time and transfers data at high speeds, then go for it. I can only recommend it based on my tests and the general specifications.

Pros

  • Great Performance
  • 1TB and 2TB capacity options
  • High TBW endurance rating
  • 5-year warranty
  • Optional recovery service
  • Seagate quality control

Cons

  • Price is a little higher than some other drives, but for a reason

“Seagate built an awesome SSD with performance and endurance and they call it the FireCuda 510. A worthy drive for any type of system.”
