A security vulnerability has been discovered within Arc Alchemist GPUs affecting the A750 and A770 cards.
As reported by TomsHardware, Intel has made customers aware of a vulnerability named INTEL-SA-00812 which affects the Arc A750 and A770 graphics cards that were sold between October 2022 and December 2022. This vulnerability has been given a medium level severity rating and involves two CVEIDs. The first is CVE-2022-41984 which is a protection mechanism failure which allows for privileged users to potentially enable denial of service via local access. This particular vulnerability has been given a Medium 4.4 CVSS Base Score. The second vulnerability is CVE-2022-38973 which again can potentially enable denial of service or information disclosure via local access.
Intel has not provided a fix or any information for an update that will remedy these issues however they have urged users with A750 or A770 graphics cards bought between October and December 2022 to contact Intel support.
