SilentiumPC Fortis 3 HD1425 Malik Customs Edition CPU Cooler Review

A Closer Look

There’s a large tower with a good number of heat fins to allow for optimal cooling performance and you can see there are five thick heat pipes that run right through the cooler.

The build quality is robust, and this is enhanced further by the nicely polished finished, as well as the matte black coating on the secondary components.

The cooling tower can support two 140mm fans, of course, you’ll need to purchase a second fan or your own set of aftermarket fans as only one is included.

The top panel looks stunning and there are beautifully finished aluminium caps placed over the heat pipe heads, to give them a nice and professional look.

There are four screws in the top of the cooler, remove these and you can easily swap that top panel for one of the custom ones that come bundled with the cooler.

The contact block is very nicely finished, with the heat pipes being cut through and polished to a mirror shine, giving you full block coverage and direct heat pipe contact with the CPU.

The thick heat pipes fill me with confidence that this cooler will be able to shift some serious heat, so let’s get the components out and put everything together on our test bench and see what it can really do!
